Today, ‘the Raynes’ have made a mutual agreement on good terms. Unfortunately the decision is to put ‘the Raynes’ to rest officially. However, there is great news as well. Shade Stone will continue making music to build on the success of his hit songs ‘The Promise’, ‘All of Me’, and ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. In fact, Shade has already released another single to radio called ‘When I’m Gone’, which is already gaining support in Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Ontario. Shade’s solo EP release entitled ‘Blissfully Unattended’ is scheduled to be made available June of 2010. To follow Shade and his music go to: www.myspace.com/shadestonemusic

The Promise officially lands at #67 on the Mediabase Published Panel Canadian AC Charts. And although The Promise is the very first single released by 'the Raynes', it has proven to have sustaining power. The song continues to impact the HotAC Radio Stations across Canada, while crossing over to make new ground and a huge dent in the AC market as well. Over 50 stations in Canada have given The Promise air time, and several of these stations have made The Promise part of their sound. And after doing numerous live radio interviews and performances, the Raynes are gaining the reputation of being the real deal. "There are no smoke and mirrors with a duo that is self-produced, self-funded & self-managed". However, the Raynes refuse to rest on the reputation of their powerful first single only, and they begin seeing more positive momentum behind the release of their second single 'Twin' at HotAC. The most recent station to get on board is CIGL - Mix97 in Belleville. They continue to spin The Promise, and have now decided to add Twin to their play list as well. One day, one show and one spin at a time, the tenacious duo is becoming more familiar to not only the Canadian Music Industry, but also it's listening audience; Something that the Raynes are extremely proud of!
